Muhammad Ali was married four times in his life time and he had nine children, two of which he fathered outside of marriage.

In 1964, Ali married his first wife, Sonji Roi. She was a cocktail waitress. They got married soon after one month of their first date. Roi and Ali divorced in 1966.

Ali married his second wife, Belinda Boyd in 1967. She was 17 years old, together they had four children. Maryum (1969), Jamillah and Liban (1970) and Muhammad Ali Jr. (1972). Boyd and Ali divorced in 1976.

Ali was still married to Boyd, when he travelled openly with Veronica Porche, they got married in 1977 and became his third wife. Together they had two daughters, including Laila Ali, who followed in Ali`s footsteps and became a champion boxer. Porche and Ali divorced in 1986.

Ali married his fourth and final wife Yolanda also known as Lonnie in 1986. They had known each other since their childhood. Their mothers were best friends and raised their families on the same street. Ali and Lonnie couple remained married until hid death and had one son together, Asaad.
